Established in 1098, the Order of St. Lazarus is one of the oldest Orders of Chivalry in the world. Since it's establishment in 1972, The Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem - Edmonton Commandery has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for the sick and dying and to those living with HIV / AIDS. Kairos House is located in Edmonton and provides support to persons living with HIV and AIDS. One of only two groups of its kind in Alberta, it houses up to eight people with the disease who require support.
